Mason's Story

It's getting close!

We leave for MUSC on Thursday for Mason's heart cath.  It seems surreal that it's about to happen.  I'm anxious to know exactly what all is going on with Mason's heart (the cath should show that) and to get a date for his next open heart surgery.  I'm not a very patient person.  I like all my facts laid out on the table and I like driving head on into difficult tasks.  Waiting has been very hard on me.  As ready as I am to just.know.the.results, I am not in a hurry to hand my boy over to be intubated and put to sleep.

I'll be at the hospital alone during the procedure.  Todd and Carter will be hanging out in Charleston (that's how I wanted it.  There's no way I could be 4hrs away from Carter).  I should have my laptop with me at the hospital and will keep the updates coming!

So that you guys can all get prayers rounded up, the actual procedure is Friday, July 8th, sometime around 7am.  Obviously, they'll just start prepping him at 7, so I don't know when he'll actually go back.

Mason hasn't pooped in 2.5 days.  I've been letting him drink pear juice and I fed him prunes today.  He was not a fan.  LOL:
